Joey hails from Atlanta and has been in Charlotte for over 10 years.  He originally arrived working for a modeling agency, moved on to become the 1st graduate of The Aveda Institute and after a year in the field opened J Studio in SouthEnd / Wilmore.  He's been involved in the fashion scene ever since - his work has been published in Uptown Magazine (where he was fashion editor for 4 years) and Elevate Magazine and has styled numerous shoots for local stylists and boutiques. His runway shows and many shoots feature clothing and shoes of his own design creation.  Joey is also the creative director for Fashion Soul, the runway and show element of SouthEnd Soul each Spring and is the "Fashion Guru" for Fox News local - he is the stylist for the on-air talent and has a weekly regular segment called "Fashion Friday" on Fox News Rising.
