Seen Uptown Magazine is a bi-monthly publication centered around life in and around Uptown Charlotte.  We are a team of folks in various fields that are represented in the magazine:  Arts, Music, Fashion, Culture, Business and Lifestyle. 

Seen Magazine will take you to neighborhoods, events, shows, galleries, and all types of cultural happenings as well as introduce you to movers, shakers, and local celebrities in a light that you don't already know them. We want to let you see through many images and graphics the diversity and “life” and people that the Queen City has to offer.

Everything may not be for you, but hopefully a lot of it will be and hopefully we can inspire to you explore more of Charlotte than you have so far. With that mission we always welcome your input, ideas, invitations. As much as we want to show you, the readers, exciting and interesting aspects of life in Charlotte, we also look forward to learning and discovering more about the city ourselves.

Seen Magazine will explore the diversity, vibrancy, and colorful side of Charlotte. We’ll bring you arts, music, fashion, nightlife, lifestyle, and culture in and around center city Charlotte and its great and varied districts. As one of the few born and bred Charlotteans I’ve watched my city grow and evolve dramatically during my 4+ decades. I realize that many that move here often have a tough time seeing or finding the niche that hits them just right. I think this comes more from not being able to find it than that niche not being out there somewhere. The image of Charlotte that many have is one of a new, clean, business oriented community, and that certainly is what we are. But we are also historic, gritty, artsy, cultural and have a broad mix of ethnicities and demographics. We have large, and growing, international communities. We have huge populations of transplants from up north. We’ve maintained much of our southern charm while integrating food, culture, and lifestyle from all of these new ingredients that spice up living in a new modern city. Is Charlotte perfect? Certainly not but if you take the time to get out and find interesting places, people, and things to do Charlotte can be a fantastic place.
